Our class fees include more: use of studio
equipment, UNLIMITED materials (clay & glazes), all kiln firings,
and of course, expert instruction.
*** Plus, fees marked with *** include, at no extra
charge, 3-4 hours per week of practice time (without instruction)
during hours that we are normally open. Calling ahead is recommended.

SIGNING UP for CLASSES
Your check or cash payment reserves your spot. Please drop by the
studio or mail in your registration. Sorry, no credit cards.
Classes with fewer than 4 registrants may be cancelled.
If so, you will be notified and your fee will be refunded in full.
IF YOU MUST CANCEL: Full fee refunded if you notify us 7
or more days prior to the start of the class. Half of fee refunded if 3
days prior. No refund if less than 3 days prior.

THROW ‘N’ GO
Want to try out throwing pots on the wheel? This two-part class gives
you a chance to create a few pieces in the first meeting and then glaze
them in the second. You just might get hooked!
Choose 1 of these 2 dates for your “throwing” session:

and 1 of these 2 dates for your “glazing” session:

THROWING ON THE POTTER'S WHEEL I/II
A fun and totally hands-on foundation course in making wheel-thrown
pottery. Become comfortable with centering a shapeless lump of clay,
and coaxing and commanding it into a vase, bowl, cup, cat dish... A
very satisfying experience! Taught by Chris Odt.

THROWING ON THE POTTER'S WHEEL II/III
Continue building your skills and making more
complex pieces. Work on matched sets, lidded pieces, larger vessels,
more asthetic forms. Professional instruction helps you achieve your
artistic goals. Taught by Michelle Roberts.

INTRO TO TILE-MAKING
NEW This two-part
class gives you a taste of creating ceramic tiles using techniques such
as carving, texturing, and drawing on slabs. You’ll glaze your tiles in
the second meeting.

TILE-MAKING & IMAGE TRANSFER
Whether you’re new to tile-making or have
experience with this art form, this is a class for those who appreciate
handmade
tile.
Make unique and personal tiles and wall reliefs.
Start with rolled-out clay slabs, then draw on them, texture them, and
carve
into them. Try different ways to add color and to finish the surface
with slips, resists, and glazes. 
This class will also include doing image
transfers using
a special transfer paper. Apply your own color or black-and-white
photographs or two-dimensional artwork to finished tiles.
Taught by Linda Leighton.
